Hairstyling schools of New Jersey

An Association for New Jersey Private Cosmetology Schools

Mission Statement

We are committed to the advancement and nurturing of our schools through our quest for knowledge, excellence, learning in the classroom and beyond and preparing our students with real-world skills to compete in today’s Professional Beauty Industry.

Benefits

The Association of Cosmetology & Hairstyling Schools of New Jersey represents member schools throughout New Jersey.  On behalf of our schools, we communicate with the NJ State Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling, the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs and various State legislators to help assure that NJ regulations and laws best serve the interests of our students.

Teaching Methods for Cosmetology Educators

The purpose of this thirty-hour training program is to provide foundation for cosmetology educators to increase their understanding of teaching methods and interpersonal classroom processes.

Participants will be encouraged to think about their own theories of teaching and student behavior and how these thoughts influence classroom instruction. This program has been approved by New Jersey’s State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling to meet the state’s thirty-hour teaching methods course requirement to become a licensed cosmetology  instructor in New Jersey.
